Two words sum up my week….

… EPIC FAIL!

Following a lovely weekend, where I was able to join my Stampin' Up! Upline and other SU! colleagues at the Ross Papercraft Show last Sunday - and had a lovely day!
From left to right…
Jan Jones, Sara Rayner, ME! (yes, I really am THAT tall!)  Joanne Friend, Hazel Ford

Monday - was exhausted, slept until 2:50pm!!  Had a very 'emotional' night with the girls when they returned from a weekend with their father - very draining.
Tuesday - attempted to prep some projects to film, but then realised it was my brother and friend's b'day - so quickly scrambled to make cards for them - it didn't occur to me turn hit record on the camera while I was doing them and only remembered to take a photo once one was already sealed in it's envelope!
Needless to say - this one was NOT for my brother!

After taking the girls for their swimming lessons, I then stupidly decided (after consulting with the teacher about my Fibro - Leigh, brilliant chap) to return to the gym to try a spinning class… So, I dosed up on pain killers and think I may have actually enjoyed it had I not had a horrific panic attack while stuck on a very uncomfortable bike, in a steamy, sweaty room, which I couldn't stop pedalling, so hung my head in shame, gasped for breath then quietly sobbed my way through it - the music was thankfully that loud that no-one noticed.

Wednesday - having spent most of the morning laid up on the sofa as sitting was too painful, partly Fibro, partly bruising from the seat on the spinning bike (truthfully, the pain resembled that from Poppy's forceps delivery - and at least I had a baby to show for it then!)  Friends were due over for dinner - so I found I was actually OK standing by 4pm and got cooking, thankfully, that want well and all 3 courses were consumed happily and none have died from food poisoning since - so I guess that was a small victory!

Thursday - I just couldn't get motivated to do anything… and I had the dropsies, 2 cups of tea went for a burton before they even touched my lips - I knew I ought to do some filming for BCN but my mojo was a no-show.  It wasn't until the girls were tucked up in bed that I got some crafty bits from the conservatory (now too cold so sit in there unless the heater has been on for an hour - winter is here) Sat at the dining table I put together a 'Hanging Stars Garland' ready for the 'FESTIVE GIFTS & DECOR' show - it really is rather pretty…sneak peek…

Friday - which leads me into today… girls happily off to school, table set, lights ready, camera on… CAN'T FILM!  ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!
Technology & I do not mix well!! - We have a serious LOVE/HATE relationship!
It's now lunchtime and I haven't accomplished anything except a few tears!!  Just spoke to one of my bestest buddy's - AKA , Mike from Kraftyhands and he's pointed me in the right direction - apparently all my SD cards need re-formatting as despite deleting the content (or so you think) the chips retain 'shadow files' - clever little blighters to say they're smaller than my finger nail!   Anyhow - now I've vented about my week - I'll go and follow his instructions (Fingers crossed!)

Oh, great - just something else to add - It's a good job i'm an animal lover as my mum has just informed me she's found mousey poop on the back of my sofa - I feel a lounge dismantling session coming on - followed by a bottle of vodka!!

Happy Weekend to you all!
Mwah!

Catch Up In Your Own Time!!

I am totally thrilled with how my shows are being received on BRITISH CRAFT NETWORK, and send out a HUGE thank you to all those who have contacted me
with such lovely feedback!
I can now tell you that if you have missed any of my shows they will be available on the CATCH UP page of the BCN site, to view in full, at your leisure!
(click on the logo above to visit BCN!)
Also - as the original footage is being returned to me at the end of the week I am going to re-edit the footage into 'bite size' chunks and upload to my YOU TUBE channel - This will be available from the middle of next week.
Again, I thank you all for subscribing, and for your patience in awaiting some crafty content!!

Now, as today is Wednesday, we have some NEW...

Grab these fab products at the reduced price until midnight next Tuesday!

and finally…

… being the airhead that I am, at times, I had totally forgotten that my daughter needed a birthday card for her friend…, so as I was about to head up the wooden hill at 23:05 on Monday night I suddenly remembered - arghhhh!….

BUT - I managed to put this together and still be in bed by 23:25!!
(I actually impressed myself!)

The recipient, Grace, is an adorable little munchkin of a girl (I can say that as she's so much shorter than both of my girls - despite turing 10!)  BUT not the girliest of girls…
She doesn't do pink… or flowers!

I used Perfect Plum as my base, standard A5 scored horizontally to make an A6 landscape card, mats and layers of Whisper White and Perfect Plum with Daffodil Delight Seam Binding Ribbon.
The images are from the HOSTESS stamp set 'HELLO LOVE' 133928, the bird was coloured with the 2 lighter ' Night of Navy' Blendabilities, wit the tummy coloured with 'Daffodil Delight' Blendabilities.  Final accents of Candy Dots and a stamped insert… see below!

It was a hit with Maddy - she was very pleased with it and wants me to make more in alternative colours for future birthdays… What do you think??!!

It's been a little quiet...

… on the Stampin' front?

The reason being, I took my girls on a very last minute, much needed, total surprise (for them) holiday abroad.
We have in fact spent 12 days in Turkey, the resort of Marmaris, at a hotel named the 'JULIAN CLUB' - which for those of you with young children, needing fabulous Kids Clubs/Entertainers and All-Inclusive facilities - I would highly recommend!

My girls had a wonderful time, much of it off being entertained or playing with friends they made there, allowing me to relax, totally!  While I still had symptoms of Fibro, the days that were hot, certainly helped - with no phone, no e-mails, no updates on my continuing saga at home AND I didn't pick up my Stampin' Up! catalogue once - I managed to completely absorb myself in reading 4 entire books and spend some fun times with the girls (when they wanted me - that was!)

It's always difficult to get a nice photo of us together, but someone kindly took this for me - despite looking like I was having a wardrobe malfunction - It's the best photo I have!!

Now we're back home in a very cold England - I'm thinking of tasks ahead and items I need to share with you…

The products above are currently featured as 'WEEKLY DEALS'
and are available to purchase through my Stampin'Up! store at the reduced prices!
The reductions expire at midnight on Tuesday 11th November.

NOT THAT I WISH TO SCARE YOU… BUT!!!…..

(correct at time of creating this blogpost!)

So, if you haven't started any preparations yet…

If you made a card a day - would you have enough?
If you bought/made and wrapped one gift per day - would you have enough?

I don't wish to alarm you! …. I actually want to help!

In order for me to offer some assistance, I'm now going to get busy preparing and creating and filming a gift wrapping tutorial…
"IT'S A WRAP!" Will debut on The British Craft Network on Sunday 16th November
(a sneek peek of just one element…)

followed by…

"FESTIVE GIFTS & DECOR" debuting on Sunday 23rd November!
